adidas SL 72 OG
Saturday morning, coffee to go, and no rush. The women's sneakers SL 72 OG from adidas Originals in a warm brown colorway are perfect for such moments. The slim retro silhouette feels light and effortless, giving your outfit a touch of the seventies. Just slip them on and head out, no matter where the day takes you.
The upper combines leather with synthetic materials, keeping the shoe lightweight while maintaining its shape. The low cut leaves your ankle free and keeps the entire line of the shoe elegantly flat. Underfoot, you have a rubber outsole that provides solid grip on urban pavement. You can wear the SL 72 OG with straight jeans, wide pants, or a midi skirt, and the brown tone easily pairs with beige, cream, and olive. The SL 72 model was created in 1972 as a lightweight running shoe, and the OG abbreviation reveals that it returns in its original form. The brand with the three stripes hails from Herzogenaurach, Germany, founded by Adi Dassler.
adidas SL 72
Pioneering athletics at the forefront of modern trends - adidas SL 72
The adidas SL 72 is the epitome of sports history. As the name suggests, the shoe was first introduced in 1972 on the occasion of the Summer Olympics in Munich as a revolutionary running model. The abbreviation SL stands for "Super Light", referring to the then-unprecedented lightness of the design, which offered runners greater speed and agility. Today, this silhouette isn't just experiencing a simple comeback - it's become an absolute must-have piece in the world of streetwear and high-fashion. With its narrow profile and authentic vintage look, the adidas SL 72 is the perfect choice for those looking for a stylish alternative to massive sneakers.
Retro construction with attention to detail and comfort
What makes the SL 72 a standout piece is the fidelity to the original design combined with quality craftsmanship. The upper combines breathable nylon and premium suede, giving the shoe lightness and a distinctive texture. The EVA foam midsole offers comfortable cushioning for everyday wear in the city, while the rubber outsole with a unique sawtooth pattern guarantees great traction. This model is a celebration of minimalism and colour variety - from classic blue and yellow combinations to modern collaborations like the one with Wales Bonner. in short, the adidas SL 72 is the definition of timeless, looking just as good with denim as it does with a more elegant outfit.

Prachtige sneakers. helemaal zoals op de foto weergegeven.
adidas Originals are not just sneakers but an entire culture that has developed around them. Ever since the brand with the iconic three stripes appeared on the scene, it has shaped the sports world as well as streetwear and pop culture. The history of adidas dates back to 1949, when Adi Dassler laid the foundations for the brand that is now one of the absolute top brands. The adidas Originals segment was created as a tribute to the iconic models of the past. It revives classic silhouettes and adds modern elements to them. It keeps the legacy of sports and urban fashion alive and relevant.
The most famous models include the immortal Superstar, favoured by members of the hip-hop group Run-D.M.C. in the 1980s, or the minimalist Stan Smith, named after the legendary tennis player. If you're looking for something more futuristic, the adidas NMD or Ozweego are great choices. The common denominator of all models is quality materials and technologies like Boost or Primeknit. And of course, timeless designs that never get old.
Over decades of existence, adidas Originals sneakers have won fans among celebrities, athletes and artists. They are worn by Pharrell Williams, Kanye West and skater Nora Vasconcellos. The brand regularly collaborates with leading designers and other brands. Collaborations with Yeezy, Prada or Beyoncé' s Ivy Park clearly prove that Originals models are not afraid to constantly push the boundaries of fashion.
Whether you're looking for something for everyday wear, to pump up the sporty vibe or simply retro classics, this brand always has something that will get you going. Atdy certainly doesn't skimp on comfort, quality and style. Choose your pair at Footshop and be part of a legend.
