Hoka® Mafate 5
Breathable engineered mesh and molded CMEVA foam form the foundation of the women's trail sneakers Hoka® Mafate 5 in blue. You can take them for ultra running or daily training on forest paths and rocky trails. Maximum cushioning supports you even in the final hours on the course. The upper around your foot breathes comfortably, keeping your foot fresh even during long runs.
Under the heel, you have 45 mm of foam, and 37 mm under the toe, resulting in an 8 mm drop. The Early Stage Meta-Rocker geometry helps you transition smoothly from impact to push-off, conserving energy on long stretches. The Vibram® Megagrip outsole with a 5 mm deep tread bites into mud, wet roots, and loose gravel. These sneakers are designed for a neutral foot strike and have a narrower insole width of B. Weighing in at 286 g, they are surprisingly lightweight for such a level of cushioning. If you're looking for women's running sneakers for the trails that can handle a full day on the path, with the Mafate 5, you won't need to look anywhere else. The HOKA® brand originated in the French Alps and is renowned among runners for its distinctive cushioning, which you’ll find on trails and roads alike.
Hoka® Mafate
Maximum traction, stability and comfort for the demanding trail - Hoka Mafate
The Hoka Mafate is one of Hoka's most stable and technologically advanced trail shoes. They're designed for runners who run on really challenging terrain and want maximum support as well as soft, long-lasting cushioning. With a substantial foam layer and Meta-Rocker geometry, they deliver a smooth stride, confidence on technical trails and comfort even on long mountain runs. Plus, the Mafate line is known for its durability and stability, which you'll appreciate on long climbs, descents, and all-day trail expeditions.
The model is available in several sub-variants to suit different running styles. The Mafate Speed 4 offers the most dynamics, a lighter construction and an aggressive outsole ideal for faster trail tempos. The Mafate 3 / Mafate Origins is a sturdier, more stable option aimed at long technical runs, ultra-trails and terrains where maximum foot protection is required. All models use a breathable, durable upper and a soft foam midsole that does an excellent job of absorbing impact even on hard mountain ground.
They work best on rocks, roots, mud, mountain gravel and other technical surfaces where their aggressive traction and stable platform really come into their own. With normal trail use, you can expect a lifespan of around 600-900 miles, depending on how heavy the terrain you're running. If you're looking for a shoe that can handle ultra trails, heavy tech and mountain adventures, the Hoka Mafate is the obvious choice.
