adidas LA Trainer OG
A retro line that needs no introduction. The men's sneakers adidas LA Trainer OG in Core Black/Off White/Matte Gold bring a calm elegance of the eighties to your outfit. The black base, cream accents, and subtle gold details keep the look understated yet striking. You can pair them with jeans, wide pants, or a tracksuit, and you'll always look put together without even trying.
The upper combines smooth leather with suede. The leather provides structure and shape, while the suede adds a velvety texture and depth of color. The low cut leaves the ankle free, allowing for comfortable movement whether you're strolling through the city or heading to work. The rubber outsole grips well on both pavement and asphalt, standing up to everyday wear. The LA Trainer model originated in the mid-eighties as a running shoe and now returns in its original OG form as lifestyle footwear with a retro soul. This collection is brought to you by adidas Originals, the line from the German brand in Herzogenaurach that transforms archival sports models into contemporary streetwear.

Iconic sneakers with Olympic DNA - adidas LA Trainer
Looking for the perfect blend of retro style and all-day comfort? The adidas LA Trainer is one of the biggest legends in street style. This model debuted at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games and quickly won the hearts of elite athletes and urban culture enthusiasts alike. Today, these stylish sneakers are a must-have for anyone who appreciates timeless design and the historical legacy of the three stripes brand.
Revolutionary cushioning you can customize
The standout technological feature and hallmark of the adidas LA Trainer is the Vario Shock Absorption system. In the midsole, right under the heel, you'll find three colored pegs. When they were first introduced, they served more than just decoration:
- Custom fit: In the original 1984 design, they allowed runners to adjust the cushioning hardness based on their weight and the type of surface.
- Design signature: Today, they are an iconic visual element that instantly sets these retro sneakers apart from any other footwear on the market.
Timeless materials and style
These men's and women's sneakers combine a breathable mesh upper with premium suede panels. This makes them exceptionally durable while providing optimal ventilation for your feet. The rubber outsole with a distinctive stud pattern ensures great traction and stability in urban terrain.
Fun facts about the LA Trainer
- Real key in the box: In the 80s, you received a special tool with the sneakers that allowed you to actually pull out and adjust the pegs in the heel.
- From the track to the streets: Although they started as pure running shoes, they are now an essential part of outfits with jeans, joggers, or shorts.
- Unmistakable retro vibe: This is one of the most frequently re-released models from the adidas Originals archive.

adidas Originals are not just sneakers but an entire culture that has developed around them. Ever since the brand with the iconic three stripes appeared on the scene, it has shaped the sports world as well as streetwear and pop culture. The history of adidas dates back to 1949, when Adi Dassler laid the foundations for the brand that is now one of the absolute top brands. The adidas Originals segment was created as a tribute to the iconic models of the past. It revives classic silhouettes and adds modern elements to them. It keeps the legacy of sports and urban fashion alive and relevant.
The most famous models include the immortal Superstar, favoured by members of the hip-hop group Run-D.M.C. in the 1980s, or the minimalist Stan Smith, named after the legendary tennis player. If you're looking for something more futuristic, the adidas NMD or Ozweego are great choices. The common denominator of all models is quality materials and technologies like Boost or Primeknit. And of course, timeless designs that never get old.
Over decades of existence, adidas Originals sneakers have won fans among celebrities, athletes and artists. They are worn by Pharrell Williams, Kanye West and skater Nora Vasconcellos. The brand regularly collaborates with leading designers and other brands. Collaborations with Yeezy, Prada or Beyoncé' s Ivy Park clearly prove that Originals models are not afraid to constantly push the boundaries of fashion.
Whether you're looking for something for everyday wear, to pump up the sporty vibe or simply retro classics, this brand always has something that will get you going. Atdy certainly doesn't skimp on comfort, quality and style. Choose your pair at Footshop and be part of a legend.
