adidas SL 72 RS Sneakers

Lightweight kids' sneakers SL 72 RS from adidas Originals are ready for a full day at school, on the playground, or on an adventure, all while looking like a piece from the archive. With these, your child gets a retro silhouette that adults recognize from running history, just in a smaller size. The Clear Sky/Cream White/Core Black colorway feels fresh and pairs well with jeans, sweatpants, or shorts.

The SL 72 RS model is inspired by a running shoe from 1972, with the abbreviation SL referring to its lightweight design. The upper combines textile with leather and suede, ensuring the sneaker retains its shape while remaining light. The low cut allows for free ankle movement, perfect for running and jumping. The rubber outsole grips on asphalt and school floors, handling even the roughest play. The iconic three stripes on the sides connect the German brand from Herzogenaurach to sports and street fashion for decades.

Materials

UpperSuedeSuedeLeather with a characteristic brushed finish and a soft, velvety texture. Unlike smooth leather, it is produced from the inside of the leather, which gives the material an unmistakable softness and suppleness. The main advantages of suede footwear include high breathability and the ability to adapt quickly to the anatomical shape of the foot, making the shoes comfortable from the first wear. Suede stands out for its depth of colour and gives the shoes a premium look. In order for the material to retain its properties and beauty, regular impregnation is recommended to ensure protection against moisture and dirt. / LeatherLeatherNatural leather is a traditional material resulting from the tanning process of animal hides and skins, which occupies a key position in the footwear and haberdashery industry due to its mechanical resistance, breathability and aesthetic value. The specific reticular structure of the collagen fibres allows the material to adapt to the user's anatomy, resulting in optimum wearing comfort. As a hygroscopic material, the leather naturally regulates moisture and ensures air circulation. The appearance and functional properties, such as the degree of water repellency or texture, are defined by the specific type of technological processing, which include smooth finishes, suede or nubuck. / TextileTextileThe textile upper of the sneakers is lightweight, breathable and comfortable, ideal for everyday wear and sports. It ensures air circulation, keeps feet fresh and adapts to their shape. Often complemented with synthetic or rubber details for durability and support.
SoleRubberRubberThe rubber sole is a traditional and highly reliable element in the construction of footwear, valued especially for its extreme mechanical resistance and grip. This contact layer is made of natural or synthetic rubber, which is characterized by its high density and elasticity. Due to its physical properties, it provides excellent traction on a wide range of surfaces, from smooth asphalt to unpaved terrain. In addition, the rubber is naturally waterproof and resistant to temperature fluctuations, ensuring stability and a secure stride in a variety of climatic conditions.

adidas Originals are not just sneakers but an entire culture that has developed around them. Ever since the brand with the iconic three stripes appeared on the scene, it has shaped the sports world as well as streetwear and pop culture. The history of adidas dates back to 1949, when Adi Dassler laid the foundations for the brand that is now one of the absolute top brands. The adidas Originals segment was created as a tribute to the iconic models of the past. It revives classic silhouettes and adds modern elements to them. It keeps the legacy of sports and urban fashion alive and relevant.

The most famous models include the immortal Superstar, favoured by members of the hip-hop group Run-D.M.C. in the 1980s, or the minimalist Stan Smith, named after the legendary tennis player. If you're looking for something more futuristic, the adidas NMD or Ozweego are great choices. The common denominator of all models is quality materials and technologies like Boost or Primeknit. And of course, timeless designs that never get old.

Over decades of existence, adidas Originals sneakers have won fans among celebrities, athletes and artists. They are worn by Pharrell Williams, Kanye West and skater Nora Vasconcellos. The brand regularly collaborates with leading designers and other brands. Collaborations with Yeezy, Prada or Beyoncé' s Ivy Park clearly prove that Originals models are not afraid to constantly push the boundaries of fashion.

Whether you're looking for something for everyday wear, to pump up the sporty vibe or simply retro classics, this brand always has something that will get you going. Atdy certainly doesn't skimp on comfort, quality and style. Choose your pair at Footshop and be part of a legend.
