adidas LA Trainer OG
Looking for black retro sneakers with a genuine running story? The LA Trainer OG from adidas Originals brings back the running shoe from 1984, created during the Los Angeles Olympic Games. Today, you wear it more on the sidewalks than on the track, but the sleek and dynamic lines of the original training model remain. That’s why it’s loved by everyone seeking a retro look without exaggerated shapes.
The upper combines lightweight textile with overlays of fine suede. This makes the shoe breathable while also feeling solid and refined. The black color keeps the overall look understated and easy to pair. The low cut allows freedom for the ankle, and the rubber outsole provides reliable grip on asphalt and pavement. Pair them with straight jeans, cargo pants, or a tracksuit, and your outfit gets a relaxed touch of the eighties. adidas Originals is a line from the German brand adidas, founded by Adolf Dassler in Herzogenaurach. Archive models like this one carry sports history into contemporary streetwear.

Iconic sneakers with Olympic DNA - adidas LA Trainer
Looking for the perfect blend of retro style and all-day comfort? The adidas LA Trainer is one of the biggest legends in street style. This model debuted at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games and quickly won the hearts of elite athletes and urban culture enthusiasts alike. Today, these stylish sneakers are a must-have for anyone who appreciates timeless design and the historical legacy of the three stripes brand.
Revolutionary cushioning you can customize
The standout technological feature and hallmark of the adidas LA Trainer is the Vario Shock Absorption system. In the midsole, right under the heel, you'll find three colored pegs. When they were first introduced, they served more than just decoration:
- Custom fit: In the original 1984 design, they allowed runners to adjust the cushioning hardness based on their weight and the type of surface.
- Design signature: Today, they are an iconic visual element that instantly sets these retro sneakers apart from any other footwear on the market.
Timeless materials and style
These men's and women's sneakers combine a breathable mesh upper with premium suede panels. This makes them exceptionally durable while providing optimal ventilation for your feet. The rubber outsole with a distinctive stud pattern ensures great traction and stability in urban terrain.
Fun facts about the LA Trainer
- Real key in the box: In the 80s, you received a special tool with the sneakers that allowed you to actually pull out and adjust the pegs in the heel.
- From the track to the streets: Although they started as pure running shoes, they are now an essential part of outfits with jeans, joggers, or shorts.
- Unmistakable retro vibe: This is one of the most frequently re-released models from the adidas Originals archive.

The brand regularly collaborates with leading designers and other brands. Collaborations with Yeezy, Prada or Beyoncé' s Ivy Park clearly prove that Originals models are not afraid to constantly push the boundaries of fashion.
