adidas SL 72 Rs
A clean low silhouette and a running design from the seventies define the retro sneakers SL 72 Rs by adidas Originals in black. If you’re into old-school sports style that fits seamlessly into today’s outfits, you’ll love these men's sneakers from the first wear. The slim shape adds lightness, and the black color makes them versatile, so you can wear them with jeans, chinos, or joggers.
The upper combines textile with suede. The breathable textile ensures comfort while walking around the city, and the suede overlays give the sneakers structure and a vintage character that belongs to archival models. Underfoot, you have a rubber outsole with good traction on both sidewalks and pavements. The SL 72 model was created in the early seventies as a lightweight running shoe, with the abbreviation SL meaning Super Light. Today, it returns in a form suitable for everyday wear. adidas Originals is the lifestyle line of the German brand adidas, founded by Adolf Dassler in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, with archival models forming its core.

The adidas SL 72 is the epitome of sports history. As the name suggests, the shoe was first introduced in 1972 on the occasion of the Summer Olympics in Munich as a revolutionary running model. The upper combines breathable nylon and premium suede, giving the shoe lightness and a distinctive texture. The EVA foam midsole offers comfortable cushioning for everyday wear in the city, while the rubber outsole with a unique sawtooth pattern guarantees great traction. This model is a celebration of minimalism and colour variety - from classic blue and yellow combinations to modern collaborations like the one with Wales Bonner. in short, the adidas SL 72 is the definition of timeless, looking just as good with denim as it does with a more elegant outfit.

adidas Originals are not just sneakers but an entire culture that has developed around them. Ever since the brand with the iconic three stripes appeared on the scene, it has shaped the sports world as well as streetwear and pop culture. The history of adidas dates back to 1949, when Adi Dassler laid the foundations for the brand that is now one of the absolute top brands. The adidas Originals segment was created as a tribute to the iconic models of the past. It revives classic silhouettes and adds modern elements to them. It keeps the legacy of sports and urban fashion alive and relevant.
The most famous models include the immortal Superstar, favoured by members of the hip-hop group Run-D.M.C. in the 1980s, or the minimalist Stan Smith, named after the legendary tennis player. If you're looking for something more futuristic, the adidas NMD or Ozweego are great choices. The common denominator of all models is quality materials and technologies like Boost or Primeknit. And of course, timeless designs that never get old.
Over decades of existence, adidas Originals sneakers have won fans among celebrities, athletes and artists. They are worn by Pharrell Williams, Kanye West and skater Nora Vasconcellos. The brand regularly collaborates with leading designers and other brands. Collaborations with Yeezy, Prada or Beyoncé' s Ivy Park clearly prove that Originals models are not afraid to constantly push the boundaries of fashion.
