Mammut Aenergy Mtn Low GTX
Pure black silhouette, sporty lines, and no unnecessary embellishments. The men's outdoor sneakers Mammut Aenergy Mtn Low GTX look just as good on mountain trails as they do in the city streets. You can lace them up in the morning before your hike and not have to change them even when you stop for a meal in the valley in the evening. The low cut allows for ankle freedom and provides a lightness you'll appreciate on every kilometer.
The textile upper conceals a GORE-TEX membrane, keeping moisture from dew or rain out while allowing your foot to breathe. The Vibram Megagrip outsole gives you confidence on slippery rocks, roots, and gravel, where every bit of grip counts. These sneakers are perfect for all-day hikes, quick ascents, or trips where you're unsure of the weather. They pair as naturally with trekking pants as they do with jeans. The Swiss brand Mammut was founded in 1862 as a rope manufacturer and continues to develop gear for climbers and anyone who spends time in the mountains.
Materials
TechnologyGORE-TEX®GORE-TEX®At the heart of the technology is an extremely thin microporous membrane made from expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). This membrane contains over 1.4 billion microscopic pores per square centimeter. Each pore is approximately 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, yet 700 times larger than a water vapor molecule (sweat). A raindrop cannot penetrate the material, while sweat in vapor form escapes freely from the body. Additionally, all seams of products featuring this technology are specially taped, ensuring uncompromising waterproofing in line with the brand's famous promise, Guaranteed To Keep You Dry®.
UpperTextileTextileThe textile upper of the sneakers is lightweight, breathable and comfortable, ideal for everyday wear and sports. It ensures air circulation, keeps feet fresh and adapts to their shape. Often complemented with synthetic or rubber details for durability and support.
FootbedOrthoLite®OrthoLite®It is the world standard in shoe insoles, combining a specific polyurethane foam with open-cell technology. Unlike conventional insoles, OrthoLite® does not collapse over time - it retains more than 95% of its original cushioning and shape. Its breathability allows air to circulate directly around the foot, effectively wicking away moisture and keeping the shoe cooler. Plus, it contains an antimicrobial treatment that fights bacteria and odor. It's a lightweight, eco-friendly (contains recycled rubber) and highly comfortable layer that you'll find in quality running, outdoor and urban footwear.
SoleVibram® MegagripVibram® MegagripVibram MegaGrip technology is a high-performance rubber compound that offers unrivalled grip on wet and dry terrain and is extremely durable. This technology is ideal for long distances and new adventures, whether you're an athlete or a lover of the outdoors.
Details
When choosing a size of running or outdoor shoes, it is recommended to have a margin of at least 1 cm in front of the longest toe. This space allows the foot to move naturally, stretching the foot, preventing possible foot problems.

FeatureWaterproofWaterproofWater-Resistance defines the ability of the material sandwich or upper construction to withstand water penetration under moderate hydrostatic pressure for a specified time interval. Unlike fully waterproof membrane systems, it relies on a high density of fiber bonding combined with surface impregnation, mechanical barriers, and a dense weaving structure. This configuration effectively eliminates surface capillary water absorption while maintaining a high moisture permeability factor (low RET value). In both footwear and apparel segments, it serves to protect against moisture from dynamic movement, light snow, and moderate precipitation without increasing thermal discomfort. / ImpermeabileImpermeabileWaterproofness as a construction feature defines the ability of footwear or clothing to completely prevent the penetration of liquid water, even when exposed to continuous hydrostatic pressure (typically defined by a water column value of 10,000 mm or higher). This standard is achieved by integrating a microporous or non-porous membrane layer in combination with sealed or welded seams and water-repellent zippers or gusseted tongues in footwear. The resulting construction hermetically seals the internal space from external liquids without compromising the essential breathability needed for moisture evaporation.
