Discover a legend among travel gear. The updated Farpoint backpack is at the absolute top of the market and is the most popular choice for adventure travel. The new generation is manufactured with maximum environmental consideration from 100% recycled polyester, PFC-free, and boasts the prestigious bluesign certification.
You can rely on unrivaled comfort during long journeys. The backpack utilizes the sophisticated AirScape system, which ensures excellent ventilation and load stability. Thanks to the universal O/S back size and exceptionally lightweight construction, the backpack is perfect for any terrain, whether you are navigating an airport terminal or walking through the city. If you are looking for maximum comfort, AntiGravity technology in this category of backpacks defines new standards for weight distribution.
Organizing your belongings is completely intuitive thanks to the wide access to the main compartment, resembling packing a suitcase. The smaller 40-liter version features a padded laptop sleeve with practical side zip access. With larger volume models, you also get an integrated daypack, which can be easily detached using straps and used for daily explorations, while your main luggage remains secure at your base.
Materials
TechnologyDWR (Durable Water Repellent)DWR (Durable Water Repellent)A special water-repellent coating that is applied to the top layer of the material. It works by reducing the surface tension of the fabric, so that moisture is not absorbed into the fibres but forms droplets on the surface that run off easily. This treatment is key to maintaining breathability - if the outer fabric were to soak up water, it would form an impenetrable barrier that would prevent body vapour from escaping outwards. While DWR doesn't provide complete waterproofing like a membrane, it is an essential accessory that keeps clothing light, dry and fully functional even in rainy weather. / PFAS-FreePFAS-FreePFAS-Free refers to products and materials that are made entirely without the use of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS / PFC). These synthetic chemicals have been used for decades to provide water repellency (DWR coatings) and dirt resistance, but at the cost of not breaking down in nature and accumulating in the environment and the human body (often called "forever chemicals"). Modern PFAS-Free treatments utilize cutting-edge non-toxic alternatives based on renewable polymers or waxes. They offer reliable protection against rain and moisture without leaving an ecological footprint. / WingJacket™WingJacket™Advanced compression and stabilization system integrated into the body of Osprey backpacks, designed for perfect load integration with your body. Its foundation consists of reinforced side panels ("wings") that smoothly hug the sides of the backpack when the straps are tightened. This mechanism compresses the entire contents towards the body's center of gravity and effectively eliminates any unwanted shifting or spilling of items inside. The reinforced construction of the side panels also protects stored gear from the sides and evenly distributes compression pressure along the entire length of the backpack without causing deformation. / LightWireLightWireUltralight perimeter frame made from high-quality metal alloy, forming the sturdy backbone of Osprey backpacks. This thin yet incredibly durable wire is shaped precisely to the anatomy of the human back and runs along the entire perimeter of the back panel. Its primary function is to uncompromisingly maintain the structure of the backpack and efficiently transfer the weight of the load from the shoulders directly to the hip belt. Thanks to the material's flexibility, the frame effectively absorbs micro-shocks while walking, while also preventing deformation of the backpack even when fully loaded. Combined with mesh back systems, it creates essential space for free air circulation. / AirScape™AirScape™AirScape™ is a premium back system designed for situations where you need to keep a heavier load or backpack as close to your body as possible with maximum stability. Its foundation consists of precisely cut foam padding panels with ventilation channels, covered with lightweight and durable mesh. This construction creates the perfect balance: it firmly hugs the backpack to your back, shifting the center of gravity closer to your spine, while maintaining airflow through the ventilation channels between the foam pads. AirScape™ is the ideal choice for technical hiking, cycling, and dynamic movement in the city, where stability is a priority without the discomfort of backpack shifting.
CompositionPolyesterPolyesterKey synthetic material valued for its extreme durability, lightweight, and easy maintenance. It's essential in fashion due to its ability to retain shape—products practically resist wrinkling, dry quickly, and are resistant to UV radiation and biological attacks. Polyester fibers are very strong, ensuring long-lasting goods even with frequent wear and washing. Its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of products, from functional clothing to durable accessories and sturdy shoe components. / NylonNylonThis synthetic polymer became the first commercially successful synthetic fibre made directly from coal, water and air. Nylon is characterised by its high strength, abrasion resistance and ability to dry quickly. / Recycled polyesterRecycled polyesterSustainable material made from used plastics (e.g., PET bottles) and industrial waste. It has identical technical properties to regular polyester – it's extremely strong, lightweight, and wrinkle-resistant. However, its production requires half the energy and significantly reduces CO₂ emissions. Products made from recycled fibers dry quickly, retain their shape, and are highly abrasion-resistant. It's the ideal choice for anyone seeking functionality and quality with a focus on environmental protection.
