New Era 39THIRTY: Flexible Fit and Unmatched Comfort for All-Day Wear
Model line New Era 39THIRTY offers the perfect blend of athletic functionality, modern design, and maximum comfort. Unlike the iconic "snapback" or "fitted" classics, the 39THIRTY features a specially developed flexible construction Stretch Fit. This eliminates the need for a plastic closure at the back and naturally adapts to the exact shape of your head. The result is a clean, elegant profile and comfortable wear without pressure points, whether you're cheering for your favorite team or complementing your everyday streetwear outfit.
The Story and Innovations of the New Era 39THIRTY
Founded in Buffalo in 1920, New Era has been shaping the world of sports and urban headwear. While the 59FIFTY model remains the official league cap for MLB with a flat visor, the 39THIRTY was created for those who demand a more natural ergonomic shape and flexibility:
- The Arrival of Stretch Fit Technology: New Era has integrated an elastic spandex band into the inner circumference, securing the cap on your head for a snug fit without pressure.
- Pre-curved Visor: The cap features an iconic sporty profile right out of the box – the visor is ergonomically curved for perfect sun protection.
- From Stadium to Streets: Today, the 39THIRTY model is a sought-after choice not just for baseball (MLB), football (NFL), or hockey (NHL) fans, but also for lovers of clean, minimalist street style.
Anatomy and Structural Advantages of the 39THIRTY
The 39THIRTY cap stands out with several key elements that make it one of the most comfortable caps on the market:
- Structured Crown: The front two panels are reinforced from the inside, allowing the cap to maintain its shape even when not worn.
- Elastic Inner Band: The adaptable lining ensures that the cap fits perfectly within the specified size range (commonly available in sizes S/M, M/L, and L/XL).
- Curved Visor and Ventilation Eyelets: The curved profile for sun protection is complemented by stitched ventilation eyelets on each panel for ideal air circulation during warm days.
- Official Embroidery and Licensed Logos: Detailed embroidered team logos (New York Yankees, LA Dodgers, Chicago Bulls, etc.) on the front and the iconic New Era flag on the left side emphasize the authenticity of each piece.
Who is the New Era 39THIRTY Cap For?
- Fans of Sporty and Athletic Cuts: For those who prefer a naturally curved visor and shaped crown over a flat visor.
- Everyday Comfort Without Adjustments: An ideal choice for anyone who doesn't want to deal with plastic straps or metal clips – the cap adapts to fit perfectly.
- Sports Fans and Minimalists: A great addition to a denim jacket, oversized hoodie, or sports outfit for the stadium, city, or travel.

Trochu divný tvar. taková bublina na hlavě.
Много съм доволен
The story of the market leader in caps and sportswear began in 1920. A German immigrant and skilled craftsman named Ehrhardt Koch sensed an opportunity to redesign and change the fashion headwear industry. So he borrowed money from his sisters to get it started and started a company in New York called New Era Cap Co. Back then, baseball wasn't in such a heyday. It wasn't until around 1932 that baseball started to gain popularity. Two years later, New Era won a big contract for the Cleveland Indians and the first baseball cap was born. It didn't take long before New Era was the only company making caps for the teams in the MLB's top baseball league, which are still part of every team's uniform today. It was also during this time that the iconic baseball cap received a revamp and you know it today as the 59FIFTY.
In the 80's, a turning point occurred and New Era caps didn't just distribute caps to sports teams, they started selling them to sports fans as well and the boom in baseball caps and baseball cap wearing was on. Everyone wore them, even those who were not baseball fans or did not live in a city or state where baseball was played. As the New Era expanded in the early 00's, it became popular all over the world and now there is no one who doesn't have at least one cap with the New York Yankess logo in their home.
Today, New Era has over 500 licenses to use the logo, including NBA, MLB, NHL and NFL teams, and has become the exclusive manufacturer and retailer of team caps. At Footshop, you'll find mostly Major League Baseball team caps and apparel , but also Chicago Bulls or Los Angeles Dodgers team-themed apparel and caps.
The most popular cap styles include the New Era 9Forty or New Era 9Fifty. But you can't go wrong with a New Era 39Thirty or a kulich.
