Birkenstock Milano Big Buckle
The brand Birkenstock is renowned for its comfort, which you’ll notice from the very first steps. In the Milano Big Buckle model, it combines this comfort with a bolder design: these black women's sandals catch your eye with their mirror-like shine and oversized buckles. You’ll reach for them when you want to add a confident accent to an ordinary outfit, without compromising on the comfort that makes you choose Birkenstock.
The upper is made of patent leather with a high gloss, giving the sandals a polished, almost evening look. Underfoot, you have a cork footbed that gradually conforms to the shape of your foot. The lightweight and flexible EVA outsole cushions your steps, so you can comfortably walk longer distances. The narrower footbed width is especially suited for slimmer feet. Two straps across the instep and a strap around the heel with large metal buckles keep your foot securely in place while also serving as a key design element. Pair them with cream-colored pants or linen dresses for the city. With jeans and a white t-shirt, you’ll create a clean minimalist look. Birkenstock is a German brand with a family tradition of shoemaking that dates back to 1774.
Materials
Are you a fan of tried-and-tested silhouettes and perfect workmanship? Then keep an eye out, because few brands on Footshop date their roots back to the 18th century. For almost 200 years, Germany's Birkenstock was an orthopaedic shoe brand, but it wasn't until the 1960s that it became a global phenomenon, when American Margot Fraiser became so enamored with the comfort of these shoes that she decided to expand production to include San Francisco. The open toed shoe with a cork sole quickly became highly sought after and success was not long in coming. Give in to the benefits of slippers and sandals and treat your feet to a piece from our range!
